What you always wanted to know about el Oso
3 friends that love Tacos and an awesome team.
A Taco is a traditional mexican food consisting of a thin round unleavened cornmeal or wheat flour flat bread. It is usually eaten hot with a filling and topping.
A Taco is eaten with hands. You add the Salsa of your choice and some fresh lime juice to your Taco, fold it in half and take a bite. Remember: the mouth goes to the Taco, not the Taco to your mouth ;)
We do not offer cuttlery, cause you eat Tacos with your hands.
Our signature Taco is the Al Pastor, which originates from Mexico City. Check out our menu to see all the options.
Yes we do!
Some of our taco-filling seasonings do contain chilies (Pastor adobo for example) but they are not spicy. You can adjust the spice level by adding our fresh homemade Salsa to your Taco. The spice-level of the Salsas are marked with 1 - 4 chilies. Chilies are a natural product, so the spice level can vary a lot.
A salsa is a sauce usually made from various chilies. We import fresh and dried chilies. We try the Salsas every morning after they have been freshly cooked and give it a chilly rating from 1 (mild) to 4 (extra spicy)
And yes our Salsas are vegan and glutenfree unless marked otherwise
Yes! You can check out allergie information on our menu and ask our staff for advice. None of our products contain soy. All Tacos on our regular menu are availabe with our Corn Tortillas. Some options are also offered on Flour Tortillas. All Desserts do contain Gluten, Eggs and Lactose.
Unfortunately we can not offer this at the moment as this slows down our kitchen team a lot and causes inconvenience for our other customers.
No coriander or no onion but add some cheese : no problem, just let us know.
However there are limits to the adjustment we can do. For example: Our Birria meat is marinated and slow cooked, so we can not take the seasoning out of the meat. Please ask our team, we will do our best to meet your needs or offer you an alternative.
It gets busy at El Oso, with music, lots of people and occasionaly a normal evening turns into a big fiesta. If you are looking for a little bit more peace and quiet, come right when we open or during the week between 17:00 and 18:00h.
We do not offer reservations at the moment.
Yes, of course. Please make sure to keep your dog on a leash at all times.
Not really a question but something we hear often.
Facts that do effect our pricing: fair wages for our team, importing products from mexico for authentic flavor, producing our own Tortillas with cintli in Berlin (again with authentic products from Mexico), making fresh Salsa every day from real Chilies, building our Trompo from good quality meat our selfs for every day we sell Pastor, making our own marinades, cooking with fresh and quality ingredients, baking desserts in house, paying rent; taxes; electricity; healthinsurances and all the other things that come with having a business in germany. Thank you for your support and love
